You can camp on the boats or banks of the rivers at night and venture into the Amazon with an experienced guide during the day. You can also experience the Amazon Jungle by visiting the Madidi National Park which is over 2 million hectares of protected land. The Madidi National Park is home to thousands of animals including birds, monkeys and other mammals. There are several tours that will take you across the Titicaca Lake into Challapampa Village an isolated island town that is steeped in traditional Bolivian culture including Incan ruins. You can walk to the ruins from the town on a guided tour where you will be welcomed with gifts and be able to enjoy traditional rituals and ceremonies based on the Bolivian culture.
